My name is Corrine Elaine Highwood. I am a professional portrait artist who specializes in using charcoal as my medium.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast and naturalist, I am always amazed by the beauty of our world. I am deeply compelled to work with all natural materials inspired by the earth's elements. There is something so satisfying about using my fingers and hands to work directly with the powerful effects of fire on wood: charcoal. My passion for creating charcoal portraits began in 2000 and I haven't stopped since.
